Daniel our son, and daughter in law Ali are the proud parents of five boys: Finnan, Forrest, Redd, River and Vander.
Daniel's medical residency in anesthesiology was completed in 2017 at the world renowned Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona. He earned his undergraduate from Brigham Young University and graduated medical school from the University of Nevada, Reno. Home Means Nevada and Daniel and Ali returned to Reno in 2018. Daniel worked for Associated Anesthesiologists here in Northern Nevada. Ali completed her Master's Degree in Nursing and worked part time as a nurse practitioner. More than any other endeavor, they enjoy the adventure of raising their growing family together and seek every opportunity to travel and explore the great outdoors as a family. Currently they have taken a sabbatical in 2021/2022 and are sailing their 56 foot catamaran "Chasing Zorba" around the world with their 5 boys and beloved labradoodle Mazy!
Rachel our daughter, and son in law Tyler are the proud parents of five beautiful daughters: Lily, London, Ellie-Jane, Emerson, and Arden. Rachel is a busy mother with a Masters in Clinical Psychology from Azusa Pacific University and became a Nevada licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and is a valuable asset to her clients.Rachel also keeps busy creating beautiful interior spaces for clients as the owner of Origin Designs Company, a business which grew as a natural extension of her creative passions. Tyler is a Professional Civil Engineer and completed his M.B.A at University of Nevada, Reno. He is currently the V.P. of Operations at at a construction company and oversees the company's regional operations. They have moved back to their childhood home of Reno and have made their families very happy! They spend their spare time supporting their daughters many sports activities and hobbies.
Jacob our son, and daughter in law Erica have twin boys, Oliver and Wyatt, their only girl Dixie June and youngest Wes. Jacob and Erica met and graduated from Brigham Young University, Hawaii. Jacob earned his business degree in Operations/Supply Chain management, then went on to complete the American Society for Quality Six Sigma Black Belt certification. Jacob is the operating partner for Rental Advisor, a luxury vacation rental marketing firm. Erica graduated Cum Laude with a BS in Exercise and Sports Science, minoring in Coaching with Nutrition and operates her own business Touch of Sun. They surprised their family here in Northern Nevada by moving back to Reno after enjoying many good years and memories in Gilbert, Arizona. Their days are filled with juggling the fun and excitement of raising little ones and watching the kids delight in living where it snows! With what little time they have left, they love to escape to the ocean to sail and surf.
Sarah our daughter, and son in law Christopher are parents to Sawyer, Winter and Wilder. Sarah earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Roseman University with a 4.0 GPA. She has spent the last few years as a postpartum nurse and is an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant with her own consulting service. Recently, Sarah & Christopher just moved closer to family in the West from their air force military service in Virginia and have now entered the private sector with a private oral surgery practice in San Francisco, their dream of dreams. Christopher graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BS in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, and also walked onto the football team and played for the Fighting Irish. He is a Major in the United States Air Force. He earned his DDS from University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco. He completed his 5 year residency in oral maxillofacial surgery at Travis Air force Base in 2019.
Ian our son, holds a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Nevada, Reno. Additionally, he graduated Magna Cum Laude with his Master's in Business Administration from Cal Baptist University.
Ian resides in Southern California and is a fiscal analyst for an international tech company. Ian is the fiscal conservative in our family and reminds us frequently of the wisdom of such a world view! In his free time, Ian enjoys frequent trips to the ocean, traveling, bike riding and tennis. The last year of remote work has allowed Ian to work while visiting Madrid Spain, Mexico City, and Vienna Austria. Ian used the pandemic to hone his cooking skills and rocked the air fryer when he wasn't making multiple long distance drives back home to visit family in Reno while listening to his favorite "Noble Blood" podcasts.
Lieutenant (Lloyd) Forrest our son , and our daughter in law 1st Lieutenant Jessica are both graduates of the United States Naval Academy class of 2017 & 2018 respectively. Forrest graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and was commissioned as an officer in the Navy. Jessica graduated with a degree in English and was a member of the Infantry Skills Team (where she met Forrest). She was commissioned as an officer in the Marine Corps. They make their home in Monterey currently with new military assignments and in the company of their dogs Kaia & Chloe. When they have a rare moment to themselves they enjoy beach time, rock climbing, camping and catching up with friends and family near and far. Their lives are busy while serving their country and all of us are deeply grateful to them and all those that currently serve or have served in the Armed Forces of the United States of America!
Mallory our daughter, and son in law Thayne are the busy parents to Evelyn, Beau and Hayes. They started their own landscaping company in 2020. Mallory graduated with her nursing degree in May 2018 and enjoys being a part time nurse in labor & delivery. Thayne and Mallory both manage to keep very busy between work, family and enjoying their new home and their cows and horses. They enjoy the best of both worlds...a little bit country and a little bit city. With hardly a moment to themselves they never mind making time to watch Evelyn sing and dance to her favorite Disney Princess shows or to give Beau and Hayes a ride on the tractor or the nieces and nephews a ride on their mini horse Buddy!
Larissa our daughter, and son in law Cody are enjoying married life in their new home with their fur baby Abby. Larissa graduated from Bishop Manogue Catholic High School in June 2017 and is a Millennium Scholarship receipient . She attended BYU-Hawaii for a time and graduated in 2021 as a registered nurse from TMCC. She worked the oncology department at Renown and received numerous praise (& gift cards) from families & patients whose suffering she has helped ease and comforted during difficult stays. She now works at a private practice cancer center. Cody is a graduate of Spanish Springs High School and is a heavy equipment operator and just finished his union journeyman apprenticeship program with distinction. In their spare time they enjoy working on their new house & yard and riding their quad around on trails exploring the beautiful outdoors of Nevada.
ALEXIS lloyd MET IRA hansen
at Sparks High School, where he acted as her very first campaign advocate in her running nomination for homecoming queen (She won! Ira remembers nobody needed convincing to vote for her after all). Since then, Alexis and Ira have worked as a committed team throughout their 42 year marriage to raise their eight children, build a plumbing business, and work as regular community contributors towards Nevada's future. Family is at the heart of Alexis's deepest motivations. Nevada's success depends on the strength of its families and relationships, and to know Alexis's children is to know the depth of Alexis Hansen's work and her integrity as a candidate.
